Who?

This course is aimed at a junior doctors including GP trainees who will be working in A&E as well as those with an interest in pursuing a career in emergency medicine.

What?

A one-day, consultant and senior registrar led course, focusing on the management of emergencies faced by junior doctors in A&E.

When?

Why?

Emergency medicine is a very demanding specialty and being the doctor responsible for the initial assessment, diagnosis and management of acutely unwell patients coming in to A&E is a daunting prospect for most junior doctors.

This course covers some of the most common medical and surgical presentations encountered in A&E, focusing on the practical steps in management as well as the basic principles to provide a deeper understanding of the condition.
