The Obstetrics and Gynaecology On-call Survival Course for Junior Doctors received excellent feedback last year and we are excited for the 2nd edition of this course to be held virtually. The Obstetrics and Gynaecology On-Call Survival Course course curriculum has been developed and will be delivered by experienced Obs & gynae Registrars.
Who?
This course is aimed at junior doctors who want to improve their understanding and ability to manage commonly encountered presentations in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

What?
A one day focused course aimed at improving theoretical knowledge and surviving an Obstetrics & Gynaecology on-call shift.
Teaching will consist of a series of short lectures focusing on presentations commonly encountered by junior doctors with an emphasis on the areas they most often find challenging.
Why?
The course aims to improve theoretical knowledge to allow junior doctors to more confidently and appropriately manage Obstetrics & Gynaecology patients which can be a very daunting task, particularly on the many occasions they find their registrar and consultant in theatre!

About the Academy of Surgical Education
The Academy of Surgical Education is an organisation aiming to remove some of the barriers that prevent trainees from progressing in surgery by offering high quality education for free or at affordable prices. Our courses have been designed and delivered by consultants and senior registrars with a strong interest in teaching. Since 2014 we have successfully run several courses attended by over 500 trainees from across the country in collaboration with St Mary's Hospital, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, University of East Anglia and Norwich Radiology Academy.
